Call for Abstracts for the Technical Forum on Geohazards Impacting Transportation in Appalachia

Call for Abstracts

The 2017 Annual Technical Forum for Geohazards Impacting Transportation will be hosted by Virginia Department of Transportation and sponsored by the Marshall University Center for Environmental, Geotechnical and Applied Sciences (CEGAS).

2017’s technical sessions will focus on the following major topics:

  • UAV and Remote Sensing
  • Mine Hazards
  • Landslide Hazard Assesment and Characterization
  • Rock Reinforcement
  • Risk and Reliability
  • Rockfalls
  • Climate Change, Extreme Events and Resiliency
  • GIS, Mapping, and Planning
  • Karst

Abstracts on the related topics are welcome. Abstracts should be submitted for consideration, for presentation at the Forum, on or before June 12, 2017. Abstracts should be in Microsoft Word format, Times New Roman, 12-pitch, double-spaced and left justified, and be 300 words or less. The abstract should include the presentation title, presenters’ names, title, organization or company affiliation, business address, phone number and email address.
